Arts Narrogin Covid-19 Update 24/03/2020
An update from the team at Arts Narrogin:
In an announcement that won’t come as much of a surprise, ARtS SPACE is temporarily closing its doors from today as part of our responsibility to the health of our community, in line with current government guidelines.
Our team is preparing to start working from home. Emails will be monitored, but the landline phone will not, so we may not be quite as responsive as usual but we’ll do our best. The mobile number will still be active for urgent enquiries. If you have any questions or just want reach out to us for a chat, your best bet will be shooting us a message on Facebook.
Access to activities, social connection and a sense of purpose and belonging are even more important during this period of physical distancing and self-isolation.
Arts Narrogin is committed to building our community through creativity and the arts, and whilst this will look different in the foreseeable future, we will continue to actively work behind the scenes on ways to facilitate this safely in our community. We will soon have more information about how this will be happening – Watch this space!
In the meantime, we have made Joyce Contos’ wonderful exhibition ‘A Dozen Plus Two’ accessible on our website (artsnarrogin.com.au/event/a-dozen-plus-two/) where it will be on display until 2 April. Please contact us if you would like to make an appointment to view the works in person at ARtS SPACE.
In addition to our regular communications (via our Facebook page, website & newsletter) we will be distributing information through the two Facebook groups below, which we encourage you to join.
Arts Narrogin Creative Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ArtsNarroginCreativeCommunity/
We’ll be using the Creative Community to share ideas for different arts
activities, creative projects and collaborations that can be worked on from
home. We encourage you to join the group so you can check it often, share with
family or friends who may be in self isolation, and send us your ideas for new
activities.
Southern Wheatbelt Artist Network: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SouthernWheatbeltArtNetwork/
We’ll be sharing industry news, updates and opportunities through the Artist
Network as new information is received. We encourage all our Southern
Wheatbelt Artists, Groups and Organisations to join to stay informed, share and
connect with other artists, groups and organisations in our region.
