Arts Narrogin are delighted to share the news that we have been successful in our applications for the two grants listed below, through the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund (RAF) Cultural Tourism Accelerator Program. Please see yesterday’s announcement by Regional Arts WA ‘$550,000 to accelerate regional arts and culture in WA’ for the full announcement and list of funded applicants.
What’s On? Marketing Arts Narrogin’s creative program to audiences in surrounding communities
Wheatbelt | Arts Narrogin Incorporated | Flash Marketing Campaign – $2,500
Arts Narrogin will accelerate cultural tourism to Narrogin through the printing and distribution of their 2022 What’s On creative program flyers to surrounding communities. The campaign will increase awareness of the Creative Program targeting new audiences who may not have previously engaged with Arts Narrogin.
Take Your Bus Seats
Wheatbelt | Arts Narrogin Inc | Experience Initiative – $10,000
Experiencing live performance is one of life’s joys – and should be made accessible for all, as much as possible. Take Your Bus Seats will improve the accessibility of live performance in Narrogin by providing a safe and reliable means of transport for local Seniors and First Nations peoples from surrounding communities. This is a vital tool in removing financial and practical barriers for audiences, which will encourage community participation and create opportunities for people from all backgrounds to meet, share the experience of live performance, and encounter First Nations and local stories that they can relate to.
We are thrilled with the outcome and look forward to this valuable opportunity to increase visibility and improve accessibility of this year’s creative program for the residents of Narrogin & surrounding communities.
