VENUE: Doney Street Arts Hub, Corner Doney and Garfield Streets, Narrogin.

COST: Workshops may be attended as individual sessions with a cost of $150 per session or $400 for the series of three.

MATERIALS: Most materials will be supplied and a material/equipment list is supplied on receipt of payment.

Workshop 1: Botanical PRINTs on paper and cloth

Saturday 19 February, 8.30am – 4pm
Learn botanical printing techniques on paper and cotton cloth. 
Join us to wander Narrogin Creek collecting leaves or bring your own. Learn the basics of botanical printing on paper and cotton cloth in a single day. 
Paper cutting techniques, mark making, mordanting, botanical printing on cellulose fibres…. This workshop is a full day of fun and knowledge with tutors Annette Nykiel and Dianne Strahan. Papers and cloth supplied.

Workshop 2: Slowmaking, mark making, STITCH

Sunday 20 February, 10am – 4pm  
Explore mark making and stitching techniques.
Explore mark making and stitching techniques to enrich a piece of botanically printed cloth or paper. Cloth and paper supplied or BYO from workshop.  
Cost: $150

Workshop 3: Coptic Stitch BookBINDing

Saturday 26 February 9am – 4pm
Learn to create bookcloth, cover and bind your own Coptic bound printed journal.
Coptic binding is based on a 2000y.o. method of binding created by the Coptic priests in Egypt which is still used today. This is a wonderful way to showcase your pre-printed papers or use plain. Book board, waxed linen threads and paper supplied.
