Shades of Blue – Beyond Indigo invites you to immerse yourself in the evocative world of indigo — a colour rich with history, symbolism, and emotion.

Featuring works from 30 artists across Western Australia, this textile-focused exhibition explores the depth and diversity of indigo through both traditional and contemporary lenses. From natural dyeing and cultural heritage to mood, memory, and abstraction, artists have responded to the theme with curiosity, creativity, and reverence for this ancient hue.

Coinciding with Fibres West, Beyond Indigo showcases a vibrant cross-section of textile and creative practices — from emerging to established artists — united by their shared fascination with one of the world’s oldest and most universal colours.
