Madge Chadwick was a nurse during world war two. She and her husband Fred brought up their three sons in Narrogin, to which 2 sons continued working on the farm to this day.
Madge’s early works were in china painting, and she also produced tapestries. She retired to Albany in later years, where she then moved on to watercolour painting. Her works shifted to focus on the reflections and light in maritime scenes around emu point in Albany. Other favourite landscape subjects included from English and Italian scenes to landscapes including her own farmhouses.
