SPACE MUSIC: Taster Workshop for Local Artists (FREE)
September 4 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Come along to this FREE taster workshop, to learn how you can be involved with this exciting community art project!
WHAT’S THE PROJECT?
Space Music: An Immersive Art Installation
This project will result in the creation of an immersive, multisensory art installation, journeying through the stars – to be installed in the Wickepin Town Hall for Australian Baroque’s performance of Space Music in April 2023.
The art creation for this installation will take place in late 2022 (most likely starting November) across incursions with local primary schools in conjunction with Australian Baroque, astrophysicist and planetary geologist Dr Antony Brian, and community artist Rachael Wyder… and local artists from Narrogin and surrounding towns.
That’s where YOU come in!
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re looking for a handful of local visual artists keen to be involved in this project, in whatever capacity you are able.
Would you like to… contribute to the artmaking process?
Would you like to… have a bit of professional development, and learn some new skills for working with schools and other groups in community projects?
Let us know what level of involvement might suit you best.
We’re chasing artists working in all kinds of mediums! 2D, 3D, textile, sculpture, traditional or otherwise… anything goes!
Come along to this FREE taster workshop for artists, to hear about the project and how you can be involved. There might even be a bit of artmaking during the session! No cost, no commitment – simply come check it out.
